The Bund, located along the Huangpu River, is a waterfront area in east China's Shanghai. To the west of The Bund are historical buildings with various architectural styles, including gothic, baroque, and neoclassical. Across the river from the Bund, Pudong's Lujiazui is home to Shanghai's iconic The Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower, Shanghai Jinmao Tower, Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center, which have become symbols of China's reform and opening up and the epitome of Shanghai's modernization.
