U.S. records over 100,000 daily new infections for 4th straight day

The United States reported 124,794 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, more than 100,000 in a single day for the fourth straight day, bringing the total number to 9,810,609, according to the John Hopkins University on Saturday.

Meanwhile, 1,041 deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, rising the country's death toll to 236,642, the Baltimore-based university said.
