U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to meet with the White House coronavirus task force on Monday afternoon, according to a schedule sent to reporters, their first meeting since October 20.
On the same day, the projected winner of presidential election Joe Biden is going to launch his 12-strong task force for coronavirus response.
The U.S. has reported another daily record for coronavirus cases, with the country's total number of cases nearing 10 million.
A total of 126,742 cases were recorded on Saturday, the third day in a row with the total exceeding 126,000, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
