North China's Tianjin Municipality reported one asymptomatic COVID-19 case on Tuesday during the screening of mass nucleic acid tests, according to local media reports quoting the municipal Health Commission.

The case is a 48-year-old cold storage worker and has not yet begun to show symptoms such as fever or cough and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case.

The patient has been sent to a designated hospital for treatment and all of his 14 close contacts are now under quarantine.
