The Bund, located along the Huangpu River, is a waterfront area in east China's Shanghai. To the west of the Bund are historical buildings with various architectural styles, including gothic, baroque and neoclassical.
This year marks Pudong's 30th anniversary of development and opening-up. Across the river from the Bund, Pudong's Lujiazui is home to Shanghai's iconic Oriental Pearl Radio and TV Tower, Shanghai Jinmao Tower, Shanghai Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center, which have become symbols of China's reform and opening-up and the epitome of the city's modernization.
