Ukrainian president tests positive for COVID-19

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tested positive for COVID-19 on November 9. According to a statement, the head of the office of the president, his deputies and employees of the office have been taking PCR tests on a regular basis. The president's wife, Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska, contracted the virus in June and recovered after spending a few weeks in hospital.

The country has so far reported 469,018 COVID-19 cases and 8,565 related deaths, while 209,143 patients have recovered.
