Qubi Habu started his work as the first secretary of poverty alleviation in Taha Village in southwest China's Meigu County, Sichuan Province in January 2020. "Because I grew up in a mountain village, I really want to do something for the villagers."

Through the construction of a cattle breeding base, a photovoltaic power station, a Sichuan pepper and vegetable planting base and other industrial support projects, all the villagers have been lifted out of poverty. The village has also set up an e-commerce center, and now the village's Sichuan peppers, buckwheat, mushrooms and walnuts can be sold to all parts of China.
