A blanket of mist draped the serene Xiangjiang River that passes through Guilin City of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, painting a mesmerizing fairyland on the canvas of nature.

Here's the science behind this scenery. When the air that carries water vapor meets the cooler air on the surface of the river, the water vapor turns into small water drops, which form this hypnotizing haze.
