Mexico's health ministry reported on Saturday 5,860 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the country and 635 deaths, bringing the country's official totals to 1,003,253 cases and 98,259 deaths.
Health officials have previously said the real number of cases is likely significantly higher than what has been reported.
