Chinese mainland reports 15 new COVID-19 cases, all from overseas

The Chinese mainland registered 15 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, all from overseas, the National Health Commission announced on Tuesday.

A total of 12 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were recorded, all from overseas, while 512 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation. No COVID-19-related deaths were reported on Monday, and 36 patients were discharged from hospitals.

As of Monday, the total confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 86,361, with 4,634 fatalities.

The total confirmed infections in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 5,466 (5,198 recoveries, 108 deaths)

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 603 (536 recoveries, 7 deaths)
