Global COVID-19 cases surpassed 55 million on Tuesday, the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University (JHU) showed.
According to the latest figures, the U.S. remained top in both confirmed cases and deaths, with the numbers standing over 11.2 million and 247,220, respectively.
