China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday reported 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The region's Center for Health Protection (CHP) said four of the new cases were locally transmitted and among which, two were from unknown sources.

The number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the city since January now stands at 5,491.
