The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases fell to zero in Kashgar Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Thursday, according to local health authorities.

This comes at a time when the last four patients were discharged from hospital and 34 asymptomatic patients have also been released from medical observation.

A total of 78 confirmed cases were discharged from hospital, and 350 asymptomatic patients were released from medical observation.
