Unexpected rain and snow fell on the Taibai Mountain in Baoji City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province. When the snowfall stopped, a stunning view of rime was seen on the hill. The forest turned into a frozen landscape.

Rime often forms on trees atop mountains and ridges when supercooled water in clouds or liquid droplets freeze onto surfaces. The Taibai Mountain is the tallest mountain in the Qinling Mountains, with its highest point being more than 3,700 meters above sea level. The rime-covered top looked more breathtaking against the fresh green trees in lower altitudes.
