This year's Freestyle and Snowboard Big Air World Cup Beijing has been cancelled, the International Ski Federation (FIS) announced on Thursday as it published changes to its World Cup calendar.
Weather-related reasons and the spread of the coronavirus forced the postponement or cancellation of several competitions scheduled for the next few months, FIS said in a statement.
This included competitions across FIS disciplines, from alpine and cross-country skiing to ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle and snowboard.

The FIS Freestyle and Snowboard Big Air World Cup Beijing, originally scheduled for November 27 and 28, was one of a handful of events to get cut altogether from this year's calendar, along with two more snowboard and freestyle events in Austria in January and Canada in February.
"Should any changes to the current competition calendars be necessary as a result of COVID-19 prevention measures imposed by national and regional governments or due to weather-related problems, they will be announced as any decisions are made," said FIS.
