In south China's Guangdong Province, Guangzhou City will once again be under the spotlight as sports stars and industry experts gather for the 2020 China Sports Culture Expo and China Sports Tourism Expo (CSCTE), which will open on November 27 under necessary guidelines of epidemic prevention and control.
With the theme of "Healthy China, Sports power", this year's CSCTE will feature seven major exhibition areas, 14 sub-forums, and 20 more activities, inviting many enterprises and brands from home and abroad, as well as bringing Chinese characteristics to the global sports industry.
It is worth mentioning that the sports intangible cultural heritage forum and sports film and television forum were set up for the first time this year, trying to promote Chinese traditional sports culture.

Martial arts and Go (or Weiqi in Mandarin) are the two main items in the sports culture-themed exhibition area. More than ten Go champions, including grandmasters Chang Hao and Ke Jie, will play the game at the expo and interact with go lovers.
This year's CSCTE will have products on display both online and offline for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the use of modern technology and innovative technology, visitors can have an immersive experience of rich sports culture and activities.
For example, in the sports health and innovative products exhibition area, HADO, an innovative team game created by a Japanese company, will use the most augmented reality (AR) technology to bring an immersive virtual sports experience to the participants.
In addition, dryland ice hockey competition, roller skating competition, handball show, and Shaolin martial arts show will be held on site at the expo, allowing visitors to experience the speed and passion for sports through the combination of virtuality and reality.

The China Sports Culture Expo is organized by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Olympic Committee. The China Sports Tourism Expo is organized by the All-China Sports Federation, the Chinese Olympic Committee, and the China Tourism Association.
Co-hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, the Sports Culture Development Center of General Administration of Sport of China, International Data Group, and IDG Sports, the CSCTE connects the channels of international and domestic industry, promotes the integration, docking the exchange of sports culture and sports tourism at home and abroad, and accelerates the building of sports culture and the integrated development of sports tourism.
The event will run until November 29.
