U.S. air travel surges ahead of Thanksgiving despite warnings

More than 1 million people flew through U.S. domestic airports on Friday. Earlier, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged Americans not to travel for Thanksgiving and to consider canceling holiday plans with relatives outside their households. So far, the U.S. has reported more than 12.22 million COVID-19 cases.
