Bars, nightclubs, and bathhouses will be closed from Thursday as the latest measures to contain a new wave of coronavirus infections in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the local government announced on Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, Hong Kong reported 80 new COVID-19 cases, of which 69 were domestically transmitted and 11 were from overseas, bringing the total tally to 5,781, according to the Center for Health Protection (CHP).
