Beijing has rolled out electronic mask vending machines in 10 subway stations, a process that will soon be extended to all stations. This comes as masks have become a necessity for daily travel in the capital city. Residents are not allowed to ride public transport without one to curb the spread of COVID-19. The machines have been welcomed by metro riders, who echoed that the service will come in handy on a rainy day.
