The mysterious Sun Ke's house has finally opened to the public for the first time in its 89-year-long history since 1931. /CFP

Located in Changning District in Shanghai, the historic building is one of the most well-known masterpieces of renowned architect Laszlo Hudec. But what makes it even more unique is its former owner Sun Ke, the son of Sun Yat Sen. /CFP

The villa has various architectural features including Spanish red roof tiles, renaissance-style chimneys, and Baroque window frames. /CFP

What's more, it also has a typical Chinese courtyard in front of the building with trees surrounding a lawn. /CFP

The first floor of Sun Ke's house has been opened to the public during the exhibition "Ideal – the exhibition of urban regeneration and historical review of Columbia circle." The exhibition runs from November 14 to March 13. /CFP
