Home to the annual World Internet Conference (WIC), Wuzhen, a water town in east China's Zhejiang Province, has always been associated with technology.

Wuzhen's People's Park was built in the 1950s. But this traditional park is now a hub with the latest technologies. Powered by technologies including 5G, AI and AR, 23 interactive displays have been set up in the park.

An AI assistant is placed at the park's entrance. From weather forecast to the price of meat and vegetables, it provides daily-life information to residents.

Square dancing is a popular pastime in China.

A big screen has been put up in the park's square, and dancers can learn routines from the screen or use it as a music player. Using the AR mode, dancers can see themselves through the high-resolution camera, making the screen a "mirror".

Another screen in the park teaches Tai Chi Chuan, or shadowboxing, a popular form of traditional martial arts in China practiced for health.

Even garbage cans here are smart.

The garbage can opens by itself when it senses something approaching. It then automatically sorts the garbage and tells you which category it falls in.

Spinning bikes are common sports equipment. But here at the park, they can help charge your phone.

A digital pillar in the middle of the bikes visualizes the energy you generate based on your spinning speed. And you can then use the energy to charge your phone.

The virtual zoo in the park is a children's favorite. By scanning the area using the park's app, visitors can check out virtual animals via AR camera.

The park is not just a bunch of technologies put together for no reason. All the services were designed based on people's actual needs, which provides hints of what "technology+" could be like in the future.
