Three dolphins and 97 pilot whales have died in a mass stranding on the Chatham Islands in the Pacific Ocean, according to the New Zealand Department of Conservation.
Mass strandings are common on the Chatham Islands, which are part of New Zealand but lie 800 kilometers to its east.
