Researchers are using an autonomous robotic catamaran - kitted out with sonar sensors - to study dune erosion in South Australia. They are mapping the dunes under the water to determine why the dune system in Beach-port is eroding so fast. The shoreline at the beach has retreated by more than 100 meters. Experts say the study will help scientists cope with global sea-level rise and climate change.
