Chinese mainland reports six new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland on Friday registered six new COVID-19 cases, all from overseas, announced the National Health Commission on Saturday.

A total of four new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were recorded, while 288 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation. No COVID-19-related deaths were reported on Friday, and 24 patients were discharged from hospitals.

As of Friday, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has reached 86,501, with 4,634 fatalities.

The total confirmed infections in the Hong Kong and Macao SARs and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 6,039 (5,313 recoveries, 108 deaths)

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 639 (555 recoveries, seven deaths)
