Six explosions were reported in Eritrea's capital city Asmara on Saturday night, according to the U.S. State Department.
"At 10:13 p.m. on November 28, there were six explosions in Asmara. Continue to exercise caution, remain in homes (when not at work), conduct only essential travel, and remain aware of the conflict in Tigray. U.S. citizens should avoid travel to Eritrea," the U.S. State Department said in a Twitter post on Sunday while issuing a travel warning.
The cause of the explosions is currently unclear.
