Austria's Minister of Defense Klaudia Tanner tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday, Austria Press Agency reported citing a spokeswoman for the minister.
Tanner is doing well, the spokeswoman said, and has been in quarantine since November 19. She will continue to stay at home and work remotely.
Tanner is the second Austrian cabinet minister to contract COVID-19. The country's foreign minister Alexander Schallenberg was infected by the virus in mid-October.
Austria reported 4,047 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, raising its total number of infections to 279,708. The official death toll is at 3,105.
