Eight people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Manzhouli city in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region during the city's second round of mass testing, local authorities told a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon.
Among the eight, one is asymptomatic while the rest are classified as confirmed COVID-19 patients.
The COVID-19 alert level in three areas were also moved up to medium, added the authorities.
A second screening was ordered last Friday in Manzhouli, a border city with Russia and finished last Sunday. A total of 203,378 people have been tested.
The last round of virus testing concluded last Thursday.
Manzhouli has seen reemergence of local infections since late November.
