COVID-19 doesn't stop Moscow from going ahead with Christmas decorations

Moscow has begun preparing for Christmas and New Year despite of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nikolskaya Street, one of the city’s main streets, is being decorated along with other central squares, and a traditional Christmas market is being built on Manezhnaya Square. 

Russian health authorities registered 26,338 COVID-19 cases and 368 deaths on December 1. The total number of deaths now stands at 40,464.
