Giving a voice to Singapore's migrant workers through art and poetry

Even as Singapore gradually opened up, its migrant worker population, which was the worst hit by the pandemic, mostly remained confined to their dormitories. Until recently they were only allowed to step out for work or essential services. The annual Singapore Migrant Poetry Competition, which is being held as part of the larger Global Migrant Festival, allows some of these workers an opportunity to share their experiences through prose and poetry.
