Manzhouli City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reported two new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of locally transmitted cases to 20, health authorities said on Wednesday.
The city recorded three cases from overseas – all of whom were in isolation in designated hospitals, and all close contacts have been placed under centralized isolation for medical observation.
A third round of virus testing will be conducted on Thursday in Manzhouli.
One of the city's middle-risk areas has been lifted to high-risk level of COVID-19 and corresponding control measures are to be implemented, according to the authorities.
