Sanmenxia, a prefecture-level city in central China's Henan Province, has strengthened its ecological protection of wetlands along the Yellow River. To create an ecological corridor, land used for breeding and planting has been restored.

As the environment improves, an increasing number of swans started wintering there this year. Staff members of the Yellow River Sanmenxia Wetland Management Office patrol on the swan inhabited area to monitor their population. And the newly recorded data show the number of swans has surpassed 7,500.
