The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will reduce the recommended quarantine time for people who have potentially been exposed to coronavirus from 14 days to seven to 10 days, U.S. media reported.

The reports said the new guidelines will recommend close contacts of those infected with coronavirus should quarantine for seven to 10 days after exposure, down from the 14 days currently recommended.

Individuals can end their quarantine after seven days if they receive a negative test, or 10 days without getting tested, said the reports.
