The third Hainan Island International Film Festival opens on Saturday in Sanya City. This year's event is co-sponsored by the China Media Group and the Hainan provincial government. Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi is an ambassador for the event. A total of 189 movies from dozens of countries will be shown 15 outstanding overseas films will be selected for online screening. The festival will also include forums and film venture capital activities.
