Nearly 100 world leaders have been discussing the coronavirus pandemic - at a special session of the UN General Assembly. The head of the United Nations says COVID-19 has made long-term problems like inequality more tricky to deal with. The UN Secretary-General has also condemned several countries - without mentioning names - for denying science and ignoring scientific guidance from the World Health Organization. The UN says the special session on COVID-19 is a chance to make sure vulnerable communities get access to vaccines. At the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also stressed the need of equal access.
