Russia registered 28,782 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the highest number of daily infections to date, the country's COVID-19 response center said Saturday.
Authorities confirmed 508 deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 42,684.
