China's domestically-developed Z-9 helicopter, a shipboard search and rescue helicopter, successfully accomplished the task of searching and rescuing drowning pilots in a recent drill at sea. The search and rescue helicopter is called the "fifth arresting hook" because it is the last chance to save a pilot's life apart from the four arresting hooks on an aircraft carrier.
