The Chinese mainland recorded 15 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, including three locally transmitted cases in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and 12 from overseas, the National Health Commission announced on Monday.

Six new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were recorded, while 231 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation. No COVID-19 deaths were reported on Sunday, while 13 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 86,634, with 4,634 deaths as of Sunday.

The total confirmed infections in the Hong Kong and Macao SARs and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 6,897 (5,567 recoveries, 112 deaths)

Macao: 46 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 716 (574 recoveries, seven deaths)
