A unique pair of trainers designed by shoemaker Adidas and German porcelain manufacturer Meissen could be the first to reach a million dollars at the end of an auction organized by Sotheby's, the auctioneer estimates. The record for a pair of athletic shoes has been broken several times this year, the most recent of which sold for $615,000 after an auction organized by Christie's in mid-August.
