The blind boxes are so popular that 5,000 of them sold for more than 500,000 yuan (about $76,591) in five days after a post about them was shared on Chinese online community platform Douban on December 1, 2020. With all available blind boxes sold out, anyone wishing to buy will have to wait for 10 to 20 days. /CFP
