China's border city of Manzhouli reported one new locally transmitted COVID-19 case in the past day, local health authorities said Thursday.

The new case was registered between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

As of 7 a.m. Thursday, Manzhouli had 27 domestically transmitted cases and two asymptomatic cases. Their 1,437 close contacts have been placed under medical observation.
