A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off Yilan County, China's Taiwan at 9:19 p.m. BJT (1319 GMT) on Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at a depth of 80 kilometers, the center said.
Tremors were felt in Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou in southeast China's Fujian Province. There were no immediate reports of damage.
