The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a symposium with non-Party members to solicit their opinions on the state of China's economy. General Secretary Xi Jinping of the CPC Central Committee presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. He praised China's economic performance in 2020, and stressed that 2021 would be a crucial year in the country's modernization drive.
