Pidu District in Chengdu City, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, reported two new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and one new asymptomatic case on Friday, according to local authorities.
As of 6:00 p.m. BJT on Friday, a total of 1,458,900 people in the city had been sampled for nucleic acid tests, 1,361,105 of whom have received test results.
Eleven people tested positive aside from the first confirmed case, which was reported on December 7.
Starting from 9:00 p.m. BJT on Friday, one more community in Pidu District was classified as a medium-risk area.
