Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported three new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases in Turpan City on Saturday, local health officials said.

All three new cases are from the same household, officials said. They were detected in routine coronavirus testing conducted for key groups of residents living in the Gaochang District.

The three patients have been hospitalized and are in isolated medical observation. Authorities said an epidemiological investigation is underway.
