Libraries in Japan are sterilizing books with ultraviolet light machines to ensure the health and safety of visitors during the coronavirus pandemic. The machine takes just 30 seconds to sterilize a book using UV light while fluttering its pages to clear out dust. Borrowers can use the machine once they have taken out a book and then again upon its return.
