The community of viruses is extremely vast, occupying every imaginable biological niche. And animals are not the only victims. There are about some 1,000 kinds of plant viruses in the natural world. When a plant virus becomes severe, it can completely destroy a large area of farmland, and this is the second largest disease we face in agriculture.
