Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the Climate Ambition Summit on Saturday via video link in Beijing. Co-hosted by the United Nations, the United Kingdom and France in partnership with Chile and Italy, the summit provides a platform for leaders to announce ambitious new commitments under the Paris Agreement.

"Guided by our new development philosophy, we will promote greener economic and social development in all respects while pursuing high-quality development," Xi stressed.
