Confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide have exceeded 80 million, with over 1.7 million fatalities and more than 45 million recoveries, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University.

Here is the latest:

The Chinese mainland on Sunday recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases, including six local infections.

The U.S. has recorded over 19 million cases and more than 333,000 deaths. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump on Sunday signed a massive COVID-19 relief and spending package bill into law.

South Korea confirmed cases of a COVID-19 variant in arrivals from Britain.

South Africa is the latest country to pass one million COVID-19 infections.
