Critical care nurse Sandra Lindsay became the first person in New York State to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech shot as the U.S. rolled out a mass vaccination program on December 14. "I hope this marks the beginning of the end of the very painful time in our history," Lindsay said on receiving her shot.
