After years of incremental anti-competition lawsuits, Europe has laid out an aggressive new strategy to take on Big Tech and overhaul the rules of the internet. The European Commission on Tuesday unveiled a Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act to address anti-competitive behavior and illegal content. Prof. John Gong, from the University of International Business and Economics, said, breaking up with companies that repeatedly violate EU antitrust laws is just one of the options European regulators have.
